Damir Peranovic is a costume designer for television and film. Damir learnt his craft on-the-job working with some of Australia’s best costume designers, performing a variety of roles in film and television costume departments over the past 20 years. Damir's design credits include DEEP WATER (SBS network staring Yael Stone and Noah Taylor), RAKE Season 4, CLEVERMAN Season 2 and BLUE MURDER: KILLER COP, for which he won the AACTA award for best costume design for a television series. He is currently working on the massive Untitled Elvis Biopic with award winning costume designer Catherine Martin (this project is on hold due to COVID19 restrictions). Damir has also worked on feature films Peter Rabbit 2, TRUTH and 2:22 as Assistant Costume Designer; A PLACE TO CALL HOME, REDFERN NOW, PROMISE ME (Redfern Now telemovie), PACKED TO THE RAFTERS, DANCE ACADEMY, THE RAILWAY MAN, LOVE MY WAY and TRIPPING OVER as Costume Supervisor; and on THE GREAT GATSBY, MAO'S LAST DANCER, AUSTRALIA, GODS OF EGYPT, WOLVERINE, GHOST RIDER, STEALTH, STAR WARS EPISODE 3 as Extras Costume supervisor. In these roles Damir has been responsible for setting up costume departments, doing international buying trips, setting up off-shore manufacturing and head stylist to background artists on big budget international films. The results of this work can be seen on hundreds of extras and lead actors in these productions.
